It noted that Bitcoin started the year strong, rallying from $92K to its all-time high (ATH) of $109K on 20 January. The AI model attributed this to an “influx of institutional capital.”
ChatGPT says that the growing institutional interest in Bitcoin solidifies its position as a mainstream asset, but that doesn’t guard Bitcoin from volatility. After creating a new high just over one month ago, Bitcoin fell to lows of $93K, but is now pushing back toward $97K.
However, ChatGPT says short-term selloffs are expected, and Bitcoin’s long-term bullish outlook remains intact.
So, looking ahead, what factors are at play, and where can we expect Bitcoin’s price to end up?
Key Factors Contributing to BTC’s $250K Target
ChatGPT outlined four key factors contributing to Bitcoin’s outlook in 2025. The first is regulatory changes, mainly inside the US. While the US welcomed Bitcoin under President Joe Biden, his cabinet opposed many altcoins.
Donald Trump’s entrance as president has kickstarted a new era in which there is far less regulatory adversity against the entire industry.
ChatGPT says this is reflected in the SEC’s recent dismissal of its lawsuit against Coinbase for offering unregistered securities. While Bitcoin was never considered a security, Trump’s pro-crypto stance could ease concerns for prospective cryptocurrency buyers, helping bolster prices market-wide.
On the flip side, a global fight against rising inflation indicates that interest rates may remain elevated, and that’s certainly the case in the US, where Fed Chair Jerome Powell has recently made multiple hawkish statements. ChatGPT says this could negatively impact the Bitcoin price.
But circling back to bullish factors, the AI model says that Trump’s appointment of pro-crypto officials, such as the new head of the FBI, Kash Patel, “may enhance public trust and adoption, potentially driving demand and price growth.”
But ChatGPT also warns of a potential loss of trust from hacks and security flaws. Centralized exchange ByBit lost $1.5 billion worth of Ethereum on Friday in what is reportedly the biggest-ever crypto heist.
While this is linked to a centralized exchange and not an inherent security flaw with blockchain technology, it highlights that crypto is a prime target for bad actors, which could deter some people from buying BTC and other cryptocurrencies.
As ChatGPT puts it, “The actual outcome will depend on a complex interplay of regulatory developments, macroeconomic conditions, market sentiment, and technological advancements.”
However, the crypto industry has never been without issues, yet Bitcoin remains the world’s best-performing asset since its launch in 2009, providing an average annual return of 230%.
As such, ChatGPT’s price prediction remains optimistic, forecasting a Bitcoin range between $180,000 to $250,000 in 2025. This gives potential for up to a 160% gain.
ChatGPT Predicts BTC Bull Token to 100X in 2025
With factors such as a more welcoming regulatory environment and an overall optimistic market sentiment, the outlook for altcoins is exciting.
ChatGPT says that Bitcoin-themed meme coin BTC Bull Token could be one of the top performers. It’s the only cryptocurrency that rewards holders with real Bitcoin, separating it from every other project on the market. Because of this, ChatGPT predicts up to a 100x price increase for the new project.
