The latest governance voting round on DeFiChain has concluded, revealing the community’s stance on key protocol improvements.

    Here are the results:

    DFIPs

DFIP 1: Increasing DUSD Minting — Automatic Repay of DUSD Loan

This proposal introduced an “Auto-Payback with Collateral” mechanism as an alternative to immediate liquidation. The mechanism aimed to enhance user security while ensuring systemic stability by automatically repaying DUSD loans with available collateral.

    Yes: 59.12% (389 votes)
    No: 40.88% (269 votes)
    Neutral: 1,793 votes
🔴 Rejected as it did not meet the required 66.67% approval ❌

DFIP 2: Adjusted Fee Structure to Enhance DUSD Liquidity & Trading Volume

To refine the existing dynamic fee structure for DUSD, this proposal sought to stabilize the ecosystem while ensuring active trading volume and maintaining essential controls over gateway pools.

    Yes: 98.46% (2,114 votes)
    No: 1.54% (33 votes)
    Neutral: 305 votes
🟢 Approved with strong majority ✅

DFIP 3: Establishment of Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

This proposal introduced formalized, decentralized, community-driven working groups to handle critical operational aspects of DeFiChain, further reinforcing governance structures.

    Yes: 98.22% (2,099 votes)
    No: 1.78% (38 votes)
    Neutral: 315 votes
🟢 Approved with strong majority ✅

Initially assigned to address a BTC exploit, this proposal redirected funds to the community fund and a DUSD burn initiative to strengthen DeFiChain’s stability efforts.

    Yes: 98.50% (2,107 votes)
    No: 1.50% (32 votes)
    Neutral: 311 votes
🟢 Approved with strong majority ✅

DFIP 5: Force the Peg Finally

A highly contentious proposal, DFIP 5 aimed to enforce DUSD’s peg amidst persistent sell pressure. However, the community decisively voted against forced interventions, favoring organic market-driven solutions.

    Yes: 15.18% (331 votes)
    No: 85.82% (1,849 votes)
    Neutral: 291 votes
🔴 Rejected as it did not meet the required 66.67% approval ❌
