GOAT Gaming has raised $4 million in a strategic funding round backed by TON Ventures, Karatage, Amber, and Bitscale participating. The fundraising brings the total raised to $15 million, GOAT told NFTgators in a press release on Monday.
According to the announcement, the Web3 gaming project plans to use the fresh capital to advance the gaming experiences on its platform, including integrating autonomous agents for AI-driven gaming experiences. This is part of its “vision to host hundreds of games.”
The announcement comes just days before the game’s $GG token sale kicks off on February 6. The token will be distributed to the early supporters of the GOAT gaming AI agent.
GOAT Gaming claims to be one of the leading Web3 gaming communities on Telegram. Since launching on the social media platform in August 2024, the game has “rapidly scaled to 5M active users driven by the success of games like Waifu Clash and Kitty Solitaire,” the press release reads.
The project’s next growth phase now targets “unlocking its AI-powered experiences for gamers within Telegram’s Mini Apps.” The company uses a proprietary AI technology, which it says has been under development since 2016, and helped the project ship 27 games last year.
Commenting on the fundraising, Simon Davis, CEO of GOAT Gaming said in a statement: “We believe that Telegram is the most accessible gateway to Web3 and GOAT Gaming is on the way to hosting hundreds of games, integrating countless autonomous agents, and delivering a seamless, AI-driven gaming experience.”
“With the launch of AlphaGOATS — [the project’s autonomous AI agents] — and our ongoing creation of mini-games, we are building an entirely new sector of gaming and entertainment, one where players are empowered to profit from their contributions like never before,” said Davis.
The company plans to launch more than 50 games in 2025, powered by its autonomous AI agent tooling suite dubbed AlphaAI. It is also targeting partnerships with third-party, studios further expanding the diversity of its gaming ecosystem, Davis explained.
