Uniswap Labs and Ledger have teamed up to let users swap tokens directly in Ledger Live with ease. This means users will be able to trade on Uniswap without having to leave their Ledger Live app and yet still keep their assets safe with Ledger’s secure hardware wallets.
According to the press release, the Uniswap Trading API, developed by the same team that created popular blockchain infrastructure, is now available within Ledger Live.
“Our mission is to unlock value through universal exchange,” said Mary-Catherine Lader, COO of Uniswap Labs. “We’re working with Ledger to simplify the self-custody user experience, bringing the power of both teams’ innovation to more people.”
The clear signing is a top feature of the integration with a safer way to approve transactions. This allows users to view transaction details in a human-readable format, helping them understand exactly what they are approving.
Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer at Ledger, in the PR explained that, “Clear signing is the only secure way users should be authorizing transactions.”The integration will also support token swaps on the Ethereum network, like exchanging Ether (ETH) for stablecoins.
Ledger has sold over 7 million devices worldwide and represents more than 20% of the world’s crypto assets. Meanwhile, Uniswap is the largest decentralized exchange and has processed transactions worth over $2.5 trillion without getting hacked.
