The co-founder of Ethereum and one of the most popular crypto personalities, Vitalik Buterin has recently minted 315,382 DAI stablecoins while also selling various meme coins for ETH on 18th March.
As per Onchain Lens data, Vitalik minted DAI right after selling memecoins, which includes 146.18 billion FML, 180.88 billion SHIB, 7.17 billion of VB and 366.47 million AWESOME – all for 6.507 ETH.
This move from the Ethereum developer is considered unusual as he does not often sell crypto assets belonging to his address. Vitalik has also sold over 5000 DHN (Dohrnii) tokens for 65.19 ETH.
While ETH price is currently hovering around monthly lows and has been underperforming since past year, several users are joking that Vitalik had to cashout ETH in order to pay his bills. Beside, the amount of ETH Vitalik accumulated by selling those memecoins only amounts to thousands.
As per Etherscan data, Vitalik currently holds 772.60 ETH, worth approximately $1.46 million and other $536k worth of tokens.
